Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Development of the 2025 Master's Degree Curriculum in History Education

.Thursday, April 17, 2025 – The Master's Program in History Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, Law, and Political Science (FISHIPOL) at Yogyakarta State University (UNY) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Curriculum Development in the Lafran Pane Room, FISHIPOL UNY. This event featured three competent alumni speakers, namely: Fahruddin, M.Pd, Nuryuana Dwi Wulandari, M.Pd, and Tri Endaryati, M.Pd. The objectives of this FGD were to: Explore input from external stakeholders regarding the competency requirements for Master of History Education graduates in the world of work and society. To align the curriculum with developments in science, national policies, and the needs of the workplace, government institutions, and historical-cultural communities. To ensure the relevance of learning outcomes to real-world needs in the public, private, and history and culture-based entrepreneurship sectors. During the discussion, the speakers conveyed the importance of strengthening a curriculum that is responsive to global challenges, integrating technology in history learning, and strengthening collaboration with cultural and educational institutions. FGD participants, consisting of lecturers, students, and representatives of study program partners, actively provided input for curriculum improvement. This activity is expected to strengthen the relevance of the UNY Master of History Education Study Program in producing graduates who excel in both academic and practical fields, as well as contributing to the development of historical and cultural sciences in Indonesia.
